Job summary

Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) in Texas is seeking a Direct Support Professional IV Campus/Shift Coordinator to organize, coordinate and oversee activities across the State Supported Living Center. You will ensure facility-wide staff coverage, monitor homes, infirmary, and activity centers, and respond to emergencies with initiative and independent judgment.

The role includes coaching staff, handling reassignment decisions, and serving as contact for abuse/neglect allegations.

Qualifications

• Two (2) years’ supervisory experience in direct care settings.
• Experience working with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
• Valid Texas driver’s license before hire.

Responsibilities

• Attend work on a regular basis and support shift coverage.
• Coordinate daily activities and staff assignments.
• Monitor safety and incident reports; respond to emergencies.
• Provide coaching and on-the-job training to staff.
• Ensure client care, treatment and supports are ongoing at the facility.
• Assist with staff conflicts and personnel issues.
