Job summary

Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) is seeking a Direct Support Professional IV, Lead/Charge DSP at the Lubbock State Supported Living Center. The role advances habilitation and rehabilitation plans and coordinates staff across multiple shifts.

You will mentor DSPs, ensure safety and documentation, participate in PBSPs and CIPs, and report progress to leadership. Evening, night, and weekend availability required.

Qualifications

• One year DSP experience required.
• Experience implementing behavior programs or assisting people with intellectual/developmental disabilities.
• Experience completing documentation or writing reports.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate habilitation and rehabilitation per individual goals and programs.
• Supervise and mentor DSP staff within assigned home.
• Ensure efficient operation and safety of the home with daily documentation.
• Lead training for DSP staff on procedures and lessons learned.
• Communicate progress to supervisor and participate in interdisciplinary teams.
