Job summary

Health & Human Services Commission (HHSC) is seeking a Direct Support Professional IV for the Corpus Christi State Supported Living Center. The role focuses on scheduling housing teams, coordinating mealtime programs, and ensuring proper staffing across homes.

You will work under the Director of Residential Services and support mealtime procedures and training across units. The position requires a valid Texas driver’s license, a background in supervising staff, and the ability to interpret

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is preferred.
• Two years’ experience working with people with developmental or physical disabilities.
• Texas driver’s license required or must obtain within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Attend regular work shifts and ensure adequate coverage and staff/individual ratios.
• Oversee residential master schedules and staffing to ensure home coverage.
• Provide training oversight to orient and train staff.
• Ensure dining room safety and sanitation in residential units.
• Monitor mealtime procedures and coordinate with DRS and QA/QI committees.
