Job summary

Alls Well offers a DSP Intern program designed to train you to deliver high-quality supports for people with disabilities. You will work under a qualified DSP for up to three months and up to thirty hours per week, learning the role while supporting empowerment and community services.

You will develop skills in communication, advocacy, and person-centered planning, guided by NADSP ethics, with opportunities for ongoing training and future pathways.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years or older.
• Must have a High School Diploma (or equivalent) or a Certificate of Completion.
• Must have a valid Driver’s License.
• Must pass a background check and other required health screenings.

Responsibilities

• Learn the DSP role by assisting under a qualified DSP for up to three months and up to 30 hours per week.
• Support participants with empowerment, communication, daily living and community participation.
• Follow NADSP Code of Ethics and engage in ongoing education and training.
• Maintain person-centered focus and promote health, safety and inclusion.
