Job summary

Alls Well in California offers a DSP Intern program to learn the role under a qualified DSP for up to three months, with a schedule up to thirty hours weekly. You will develop skills in empowerment, communication, community networking, and daily living supports.

The role focuses on person-centered care, advocacy, documentation, and promoting inclusion, with a path toward a long-term career in supporting individuals with developmental disabilities. Weekly pay and flexible scheduling are provided.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Must have a High School Diploma (or equivalent) or a Certificate of Completion.
• Must have a valid CA Driver’s License.
• Must pass a background check and other required health screenings.

Responsibilities

• Learn about the DSP role and perform entry-level duties under a qualified DSP for up to three months and up to thirty hours per week.
• Support participants with empowerment, communication, community networking, and daily living skills.
• Assist with education, advocacy, vocational and career support, documentation, and relationships.
• Promote person-centered planning and empower health, wellness, and meaningful community connections.
