Job summary

Modis is seeking a Digital Signal Processing Engineer - Motor Drives for a client located in St. Petersburg, FL. This is a 6+ months contract position.

Ideally looking for a candidate with experience in the Medical Device manufacturing industry. Your responsibilities will include defining software design principles, writing code in the supported language, and understanding the firmware functionality of 8, 16, 32-bit microprocessors and microcontrollers.

Qualifications

• Must have motor control with sensor and sensorless BLDC and DC motors.
• Experience with static analysis and unit/integration testing.
• Familiar with software design principles and verification processes.

Responsibilities

• Define software design principles and write code for 8/16/32-bit MCUs.
• Understand firmware functionality and develop high-quality software with requirements, architecture, and tests.
• Collaborate within a team or work independently using formal design processes.
