Job summary

A leading recruitment firm in Florida is seeking a Medical Device NPD Systems Engineer to provide critical engineering deliverables for new product development of medical devices. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of relevant experience, a Bachelor's degree in a related field, and strong skills in systems engineering, risk management, and requirements management. This long-term W2 contract role offers health, dental, and vision enrollment from day one.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in medical device new product development.
• Experience managing entire design cycles from concept to production.
• Ability to perform system architecture including interface definition.

Insight Global is looking for a Medical Device NPD Systems Engineer to sit in north St. Petersburg, FL, with strong experience in medical device product development (carrying out systems engineering deliverables such as requirements management, systems architecture, risk management, etc.). This a long term W2 contract (with intension for possible extensions and/or full-time employment conversion), and offering health, dental, and vision enrollment from day one!

Job Summary:

The Systems Engineer will provide engineering deliverables to support new product development project for medical devices developed in conjunction with our customer partners in a fast-paced environment. The System Engineer will develop systems engineering deliverables such as requirements, product architecture, and risk analysis and be a key team member working closely with the customer’s team.

• Requirements management and development
• System architecture definition including interface definition and interaction diagrams
• Concept Development including evaluation and selection
• Technology / key component selection
• Oversee HW/SW integration
• Participate in prototype build activities
• Committed to a long term W2 contract (with intension for possible extensions and/or full-time employment conversion)
• Comfortable commuting in office to north St. Peterburg, FL up to 4-5 days per week (will be working 40/hour per week)
• Completed Bachelors Degree or higher ME, EE, SW, or Biomedical engineering
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in medical device new product development
• Experience managing entire design cycles from concept to production
• Experience with requirements management and development for medical devices, and using requirements management tools
• Ability to perform system architecture experience including interface definition and interaction diagrams
• Ability to perform risk management including DFMEA
• Experience with and/or ability to participate in prototype build and test activities
