Job summary

Utz Quality Foods seeks a motivated Direct Store Delivery Warehouse Lead to support our sales management team at our Ruckersville, VA and MT Crawford, VA DCs. This hands-on role manages daily warehouse functions, leads staff, and ensures timely delivery and inventory accuracy.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in warehouse roles, strong leadership and communication, and familiarity with ERP systems (D365) and Microsoft Office. Valid DL and DOT card are required; forklift experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old with a valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and ability to obtain a DOT medical card.
• 3+ years of warehouse experience, preferably in a food-related DSD environment.
• Experience with ERP systems like D365 (preferred).
• Leadership experience and ability to direct others.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Effective communication and basic math proficiency.
• Ability to operate a step van or box truck safely.
• Forklift and hand jack operation skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Outlook, and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Oversees the daily operations of the DSD Distribution Center.
• Assigns tasks to warehouse team members and ensures timely, accurate completion.
• Assists with training new warehouse staff and sharing best practices.
• Manages inventory: ordering, receiving, storing, loading, and maintaining product quality.
• Unloads trailers and verifies shipments.
• Checks and signs off on distributor load tickets.
• Uses handheld technology to track and balance inventory.
• Processes returns and handles damaged or stale products.
• Keeps the warehouse organized including product rotation; maintains cleanliness.
• Covers delivery routes when needed, including merchandising at customer locations.
• Leads month-end inventory counts and reports discrepancies.
