Job summary

Utz Quality Foods, LLC in Taunton, MA seeks a Direct Store Delivery (DSD) Warehouse Lead to support the sales management team and ensure the Taunton DC operates efficiently. The Lead will perform warehouse duties while managing DC operations and inventory control.

The role requires 3+ years in warehousing, exposure to ERP systems such as D365, and proven leadership abilities. Strong organization, communication, and driving skills are essential; DOT card and license are prerequisites.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of warehouse experience, preferably in a DSD DC in a food-related industry.
• Prior experience using an Enterprise Resource System such as D365 is highly preferred.
• Experience leading and directing others is preferred.
• Requires organization and attention to details to maintain accurate inventory and rotation.

Responsibilities

• Oversees the daily operations of the DSD DC.
• Assigns daily tasks to the DSD Warehouse Utilities, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Assists with training new DSD warehouse team members.
• Orders inventory; receives, stores, loads, and ensures products are accounted for and in good condition.
• Unloads trailers and checks trailer loads for accuracy.
• Verifies counts for inventory and load tickets with load accuracy.
• Balances daily inventory using handheld computer (inventory, orders, returns).
• Accepts returns to stock and screens stale/damaged products.
• Keeps the warehouse organized and clean; performs routine rotation.
• Covers open routes as directed; delivers and merchandises products.
• Leads month-end inventory counts and flags discrepancies.
