Job summary

Utz Quality Foods, Inc. is seeking a Warehouse Lead to manage the DSD Distribution Center in Pineville, NC. You will oversee daily operations, assign tasks, and lead a team to ensure accurate inventory and timely deliveries.

The role requires 3+ years in warehousing, leadership experience, and proficiency with D365 and MS Office. Candidates must meet driving and DOT requirements for route delivery and forklift operation.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of warehouse experience, preferably in a DSD DC in a food-related industry.
• Prior experience using an ERP such as D365 is highly preferred.
• Experience leading and directing others is preferred.
• Requires organization and attention to details to maintain accurate inventory, records, and rotation of product at the distribution center.
• Must be able to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing; requires basic math skills.
• Requires independent decision making on inventory needs, especially during promotional activity.
• Must be at least 19 years old, have a valid driver's license, a good driving record, and possess or have the ability to obtain a DOT medical card.
• Must be able to fill in and cover open routes; must be able to operate a route sales delivery vehicle safely.
• Must be able to drive a forklift and/or use a hand jack may be required.
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Office/Outlook/Excel.

Responsibilities

• Oversees the daily operations of the DSD DC.
• Assigns daily tasks to the DSD Warehouse Utilities, ensuring work is done accurately and timely.
• Assists with training new DSD warehouse team members.
• Orders inventory; Receives, stores, loads, and ensures all products and materials are accounted for and kept in excellent condition.
• Unloads trailers and checks trailer loads for accuracy.
• Checks product picked and loaded by Operators and Distributors; signs load tickets to verify inventory.
• Uses handheld devices to balance daily inventory and reconcile discrepancies.
• Accepts and checks return-to-stock, stale, and damaged products.
• Keeps the DSD warehouse organized and rotated; maintains cleanliness.
• Covers open routes as directed; delivers product and merchandises in accounts serviced.
• Leads and assists with month-end inventory counts; reports discrepancies to Head of DSD Ops.
