Job summary

Michael Foods, Inc. Wakefield facility is seeking a Dryer Packager responsible for proper packaging, sealing, labeling and stacking of finished product containers, plus maintaining cleanliness and sanitation of dryer areas.

You will follow safety rules, GMPs, read batch records, perform pre-operational inspections, operate dryers (HPP, airflow, burner controls), monitor OEE targets, and support shift handoffs. Weekend/holiday/overtime may be required; regulatory compliance is essential.

Qualifications

Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills and ability to diagnose issues quickly.
Experience with operating dryers and related production equipment.
Understanding of OEE targets and production documentation.

Responsibilities

Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of dryer areas and surrounding spaces.
Verify packaging, sealing, labeling, and stacking of finished products.
Read batch records and perform pre-operational inspections.
Operate dryers (HPP, airflow, burner controls) and run SSL tote filling.
Monitor quality, perform hourly weight checks, and address deficiencies.
Follow SOPs, GMPs, and safety rules; support shift handoffs.
Trainee and troubleshoot with maintenance as needed; ensure regulatory compliance.
