Job summary

Oldcastle APG in Texas is seeking an Equipment and Machine Operator to run production machinery in our dry mix plant. You will read specifications, adjust equipment, load materials, and support daily production with safety and accuracy.

The role requires ability to lift up to 100 lbs, stand for long periods, and a flexible schedule including weekends. Join a leading provider of precast concrete and related infrastructure products with opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED, or related experience.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instruction, and procedure manuals.
• Self-starter with ability to work independently.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic and work with measurements.
• Able to stand for long periods and lift up to 100 lbs.
• Flexible schedule including weekends.

Responsibilities

• Operate production machinery in the dry mix plant.
• Read job specs to determine machine adjustments and material requirements.
• Observe dryer operation and adjust parameters to maintain set levels.
• Fill material bins to meet daily production schedules.
• Receive bulk truckloads of aggregates from outside carriers.
• Perform routine machine maintenance and startup machinery for daily production.
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
• Other duties as assigned as needed.
