Job summary

Oldcastle APG in Texas is hiring a 2nd Shift Machine Operator to run and monitor production equipment in our dry mix plant. You will read specs, adjust machines, and ensure material flow meets daily production needs.

We seek a reliable self-starter with a high school diploma or GED, the ability to lift up to 100 lbs, and the flexibility to work weekends. Competitive pay and benefits are offered by CRH family companies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or 1 year related experience.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions.
• Self-starter who can work independently.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic in all units of measure.
• Lift up to 100 lbs and work a flexible schedule including weekends.

Responsibilities

• Read job specifications to determine machine adjustments and material requirements.
• Observe dryer operation and adjust to maintain set parameters.
• Fill material bins to meet daily production schedules.
• Receive bulk truckloads of aggregates from outside carriers.
• Perform routine machine maintenance.
• Startup machinery for daily production.
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
• Other duties as assigned.
