Job summary

Oldcastle APG, a CRH company, is seeking a 2nd Shift Machine Operator to run production machinery in our dry mix plant. You will read specifications, set up equipment, monitor dryers, and ensure materials meet daily schedules.

This role requires a high school diploma or GED, ability to lift up to 100 lbs, and willingness to work weekends. We offer competitive pay, benefits, and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or related experience.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and manuals.
• Ability to work independently as a self-starter.
• Math skills: add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 100 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Read job specifications to determine machine adjustments and material requirements.
• Observe dryer operation and adjust to maintain parameters.
• Fill material bins to meet daily production schedules.
• Receive bulk truckloads of aggregates from outside carriers.
• Perform routine machine maintenance.
• Startup machinery for daily production.
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
• Other duties as assigned.
