Job summary

Oldcastle APG in Texas is hiring an Equipment and Machine Operator for our dry mix plant. This role operates production machinery and supports daily production schedules.

Responsibilities include reading specifications, adjusting equipment, feeding materials, handling bulk aggregates, and performing routine maintenance. A flexible schedule including weekends is required. High school diploma or GED and independent work ability are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or 1 year related experience.
• Ability to read safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to work independently and be a self-starter.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic and measurements.
• Must stand for extended periods and lift up to 100 lbs.
• Flexible schedule including weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

• Read job specifications to determine machine adjustments and material requirements.
• Observe dryer operation and perform adjustments to maintain set parameters.
• Fill material bins as needed to meet daily production schedules.
• Receive bulk truckloads of aggregates from outside carriers.
• Perform routine machine maintenance.
• Startup machinery for daily production.
• Maintain housekeeping in assigned areas.
• Other duties as needed.
