Job summary

Axon is seeking a Deployment Specialist for remote Puerto Rico with extensive experience in customer-facing deployments and field engineering. The role involves leading end-to-end deployments, delivering tailored training to diverse customer teams, and guiding policy/workflow integration with Dedrone and Axon platforms.

The ideal candidate will have 3–5 years in customer-facing roles, strong IP networking and Linux skills, and the ability to travel up to 50% across LATAM and the Caribbean.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years in customer-facing roles (Professional Services, Field Engineering, Deployment).
• Experience deploying hardware/software in complex operational environments.
• Understanding of drone systems, airspace management, RF sensing, or UAS programs (FAA Part 107 preferred).
• Deep familiarity with IP networking, SNMP, DHCP, PoE, Linux CLI, and basic system administration.
• Confident training presence; able to present technical workflows to executives, end users, and technical teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end deployments, acting as primary point of contact post-sale, including planning, logistics, and go-live.
• Deliver role-based training to customer drone teams, public safety operators, and IT teams.
• Guide customers in creating operational policies and workflows integrating Dedrone with Axon systems.
• Coordinate and manage third-party training and integration vendors.
• Conduct site assessments to inform hardware placement and design.
• Maintain deployment documentation, SOPs and training plans.
