Job summary

Axon is seeking an experienced Field Engineering professional to lead end-to-end deployments for LATAM and Caribbean customers from Puerto Rico (remote). You will plan hardware logistics, conduct on-site support, and ensure successful go-lives while coordinating with cross-functional teams.

You will design and deliver role-based training for drone teams and public safety staff, tailoring content for both technical and non-technical audiences.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years in customer-facing roles (Professional Services, Field Engineering, Deployment)
• Direct experience deploying hardware/software in complex environments
• Understanding of drone systems, airspace management, RF sensing, or UAS programs
• Deep familiarity with IP networking, SNMP, DHCP, PoE, Linux CLI
• Confident training presence; able to present workflows to executives, end users, and technical teams
• Experience with public safety agencies, law enforcement or security operations
• Project and stakeholder management; able to own a deployment from kickoff to success
• Willingness to travel heavily and adapt to field needs
• Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds and work in elevated environments

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end deployments, acting as primary post-sale contact including pre-deployment planning, hardware logistics, stakeholder alignment, on-site support, and go-live enablement
• Deliver role-based training to customer drone teams, public safety operators, command staff, and IT teams
• Guide customers in creating operational policies and workflows integrating Dedrone with Axon systems
• Coordinate and manage third-party training/integration vendors; ensure accountability and delivery quality
• Conduct site assessments to inform hardware placement and design
• Build and maintain deployment documentation, SOPs, training plans, and handoffs
• Provide post-deployment monitoring and escalation; align stakeholders on success metrics and resolutions
• Capture customer feature requests and bug reports for Product/Engineering
• Attend strategic customer meetings with Sales for technical validation and deployment context
• Lead or assist in POCs including setup, training, validation, and debriefs
• Support RFP/RFI responses with technical and services detail
• Draft/validate Statements of Work based on deployment complexity
