Applied Intuition in the United States is seeking an Autonomy Integration Engineer for the Drone Stack team. The role bridges hardware, edge software, and field flight operations, splitting time between the lab and airfield to bring autonomous aerial systems from benchtop setup to live flight.

HQ options in Sunnyvale, CA or Ann Arbor, MI are available with relocation offered. You will configure embedded Linux environments, deploy containerized stacks, wire mesh networks, and develop glue code

Qualifications

• 5+ years in robotics integration, flight test engineering, embedded systems, or autonomous vehicles (aerial background preferred).
• Deep practical comfort with Linux CLI, networking, and containerized deployments (Docker).
• Hands-on wiring, soldering, and diagnostics with oscilloscopes and multimeters.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end hardware and software integration for unmanned aerial systems from bench to flight tests.
• Deploy and configure edge software across onboardCompute and peripheral hardware using Docker and Linux tools.
• Troubleshoot vehicle networks, payload interfaces, and sensor links in real time with CLI tools and hardware diagnostics.
• Develop Python and C++ scripts for data reduction, log analysis, and system validation.
• Fabricate wiring harnesses, perform soldering, and define system architecture with clear block diagrams.
• Configure IP routing, subnets, and networks between flight controllers, radios, and ground control stations.
