Job summary

Applied Intuition in Sunnyvale is seeking an Autonomy Integration Engineer for the Drone Stack to bridge hardware, edge software, and field flight operations. You will split time between lab and airfield, bringing aerial systems from benchtop to live flight.

You will configure embedded Linux, deploy containerized software with Docker, wire mesh networks, and write glue code to keep subsystems communicating. Relocation options to FL or MI noted.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in robotics integration, flight test engineering, embedded systems, or autonomous vehicles.
• Linux CLI mastery and practical network knowledge.
• Hands-on hardware skills: wiring, soldering, diagnostics.
• Proficient in Python, C++, or Shell scripting for automation.
• Experience with serial and vehicle bus protocols (UART, CAN, Ethernet, SPI, I2C).
• Ability to lead major integration efforts independently.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end hardware and software integration for unmanned aerial systems.
• Deploy and configure edge software using Docker, scripts and Linux tools.
• Troubleshoot vehicle networks, payload interfaces, and sensors in real time.
• Develop Python and C++ scripts for data reduction and validation.
• Fabricate wiring harnesses and perform precision soldering.
• Configure IP routing and network interfaces among flight controllers, radios, and ground stations.
