Job summary

McLane is seeking Driver Trainees to learn essential functions of the Driver role, including distribution of products to customer locations. Trainees gain exposure to warehouse and other operations as part of the developmental program toward becoming a McLane Driver.

Upon completion of training, pay ranges from $75,000 to $110,000 annually with regional routes and Day 1 benefits including medical, dental, and vision insurance, plus 401(k) and other perks. Training pay starts at $24.25 per hour.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or GED.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Meet eligibility requirements in McLane Transfer and Promotion Policy.
• Complete training and obtain Class A CDL within 6 months or less.

Responsibilities

• Maneuver tractor into position to attach trailer and secure lines.
• Operate truck safely per regulations and company policies.
• Inspect equipment and submit DOT inspection reports.
• Document deliveries and temperatures using the Driver Delivery Handheld.
• Assist in unloading and delivering product at customer premises.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
