Job summary

McLane Company, Inc. is seeking a Driver Trainee to learn the essential functions of the Driver role, including the accurate and timely distribution of products to customer locations.

You will gain exposure to warehouse and operational functions as part of developing into a full McLane Driver. The position offers in-training pay of $20.00 per hour, eventual pay of about $80,000 per year after training, a sign-on bonus up to $10,000, and comprehensive benefits starting Day 1, including medical,

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Complete training and receive Class A CDL in 6 months or less.
• Read and comprehend labels and bills of lading.
• Commitment to safety and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Learn essential Driver duties including accurate and timely distribution of products.
• Operate tractor-trailer safely in compliance with regulations and company policies.
• Inspect equipment and submit inspection reports.
• Document deliveries and temperatures using DDH and related systems.
• Ride with Driver Trainer to gain knowledge of driving regulations and procedures.
• Maintain driver logs according to DOT regulations.
