McLane is seeking a Driver Trainee to learn the essential functions of the Driver role, including distribution of products to customer locations. You’ll gain exposure to warehouse and operational functions as part of the developmental program toward becoming a McLane Driver.

The role offers a structured training path, with pay during training and comprehensives benefits from day one, plus opportunities for advancement and home time with a long-standing national distribution network.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Must have Class A License.
• Commitment to safety and reliability is essential.

Responsibilities

• Maneuver tractor into position to attach trailer and secure lines.
• Operate truck in a safe manner complying with regulations and policies.
• Inspect equipment and submit DOT inspection reports.
• Document delivery receipts and product temperatures with hand-held devices.
• Assist in unloading and delivering products to customer premises.
• Other duties as assigned.
