Job summary

McLane Company, Inc. is hiring a Driver Trainee to learn essential functions of distribution and qualify for a Class A CDL.

You will train in trailer handling, DOT compliance, and delivery procedures across customer locations. Starting pay while in training is $20.75 per hour with comprehensive benefits from day one, including medical, dental, vision, and company-paid life insurance, plus holidays and vacation accrual.

Qualifications

• Must be 21+ years old or older.
• Complete training and receive Class A CDL in 6 months or less.
• Ability to load/unload and deliver products as ordered by customers.

Responsibilities

• Maneuver tractor to attach trailer and secure lines.
• Operate truck safely per local, state, and federal regulations.
• Inspect equipment and submit DOT reports as required.
• Document delivery receipts and product temperatures using the DDH.
• Assist in unloading and delivering products to customer sites.
