McLane Company, Inc. in Concord, NC, is seeking a Driver Trainee to learn the essential functions of delivering products to customer locations. You will gain exposure to warehouse operations while developing the skills needed to become a full McLane Driver.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Complete training and receive Class A CDL in 6 months or less.
• Read and comprehend labels, instructions, and bills of lading.

Responsibilities

• Maneuver tractor and attach trailer safely.
• Operate truck in compliance with all regulations and policies.
• Inspect tractor-trailer equipment and submit DOT reports.
• Document deliveries with the Driver Delivery Handheld and verify temperatures.
• Train with Driver Trainer to learn driving and maneuvering techniques.
• Maintain driver log per DOT regulations and assist unloading at customer sites.
