Job summary

McLane Company is seeking a Driver Trainee. You will learn the essential functions of the Driver role, including the distribution of products to customer locations and exposure to warehouse operations during development.

The program offers industry-leading pay, safety emphasis, and opportunities to train with a Driver Trainer. Candidates must be 21+, hold a High School Diploma or GED, and pursue Class A CDL within six months.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Complete training and receive Class A CDL in 6 months or less.
• Ability to read labels, instructions, and bills of lading.
• Read and comprehend English sufficiently for job tasks.

Responsibilities

• Maneuver tractor into position to attach trailer and secure lines.
• Operate truck safely and in compliance with regulations.
• Inspect equipment before and after trips and report issues.
• Document deliveries with DDH and track temperatures.
• Assist unloading and delivering product to customer premises.
• Maintain driver logs per DOT regulations.
