Job summary

Performance Food Group's Springfield, MA operation seeks a Supervisory Transportation Coordinator to supervise drivers, train staff, and ensure safe, on-time deliveries. You will monitor DOT logs, enforce regulations, and coordinate driver information.

You will collaborate with the Transportation/Operations Manager on payroll and routing while maintaining safety standards. This role requires CDL, DOT knowledge, and prior supervision in a foodservice logistics environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent Experience
• 2-4 years transportation or related experience including knowledge of DOT and safety regulations, along with experience in operation of computerized fleet management systems
• Class A Commercial Drivers License (CDL) certified.

Responsibilities

• Supervises associates to include staffing, training, coaching, performance management and problem resolution.
• Assists in scheduling and ensuring deliveries and pickups are made in a timely manner; rides with drivers for training.
• Assists Transportation/Operations Manager with day-to-day administration of transportation and delivery functions; may calculate payroll and review logs.
• Monitors safety: vehicle safety, ramps, handcarts, seat belts, lifting; attends safety meetings as needed.
• Maintains driver data: license status, tickets, accidents, risk data; coordinates reports for DOT and OpCo.
• Ensures completion of driver paperwork: invoices, DVIR, logs, fuel tickets, reports.
