Job summary

Jaguar Fueling Services is seeking a Fleet Manager to oversee driver safety, daily fleet operations, and DOT compliance across our Texas operations. The role includes managing E-Logs, accident reporting, and ensuring all vehicles and drivers meet safety standards.

The ideal candidate will have CDL, Hazmat, TWIC credentials, at least two years of management experience, and bilingual communication skills. This position emphasizes safety, efficiency, and team leadership in a busy fueling operation.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily checks on drivers and monitor driver activities.
• Manage E-logs, driving events, and DOT inspection compliance.
• Review safety events, counsel drivers, and report outcomes to management.
• Maintain fleet records, vehicle registrations, and equipment maintenance.
• Coordinate with insurance and safety programs; ensure OSHA guidelines are followed.
• Assist in recruitment, training, and driver development programs.

Driver Safety & FleetManager Job Functions/Responsibilities:

Daily:

• Daily checks on Drivers.
• Monitor, edit and assign E-Logs & driving events.
• Review camera events, assign outcome and report accordingly.
• Issue rewards for drivers with no violations on tiered structure with DOT inspections.
• Monitor emails and respond.
• Maintain, counsel, and resolve all DOT Inspections (Warnings and/or Citations).
• Assist drivers in loading / unloading questions regarding terminals, trucks, tanks, customer equipment and truck software.
• Ensure drivers have everything they need to complete their job.
• Auditing driver paysheets, logging issues, and reporting issues to management for corrections.
• Maintain loading cards.
• Ensure a high level of service is maintained and delivery expectations are met, while maximizing efficiencies relative to customer needs.
• Complete minor repairs and installations on trucks.
• Maintain CFDS expirations for all drivers, vehicles, and equipment.
• Counseling of drivers when errors are made.
• Hire and terminate employees.
• Resolve daily driver issues and needs.
• Ensure drivers are operating safely at every location during their shift.
• Maintain entire company fleet, including trucks and other company vehicles.
• Routine gate checks for trucks upon their departure in the mornings.
• Assist getting drivers to and from shop to pick up/drop off trucks.
• Approve applicable invoices for our AP department.
• Enforce OSHA and company safety guidelines and routinely inspect trucks and equipment for safety compliance.

Daily if Applicable:

• Assist with Fuel, Lube, Tank or Service Orders when needed.
• Hurricane Response Team.
• Driver Trainer when fill-in is needed.
• Exit Training – Driver Release Review.
• Recruitment of quality drivers.
• Complete and maintain DQ Files.
• Schedule DOT Random Drug and Alcohol screens and meet deadlines.

Weekly

• Weekly report of paysheets audit findings
• FMCSA Safety Rating reviewed weekly and reported to management monthly.

Monthly

• Monitor DISA account for accuracy
• Attend safety functions for continued education and apply knowledge to job duties.
• Coordinate and present Monthly Driver Safety Meetings.
• Coordinate, collect and count End of Month Fuel Inventory.
• FMSCA safety rating review with reasoning and corrective game plan.
• Maintain the company fleet, including registrations, inspections, oil changes, tire service, car washes, repairs, and preventative maintenance
• Correspond with Insurance Company when accident claims are open.
• Assign LUMA training to all drivers and ensure drivers are completing their LUMA trainings.
• Obtain and process vehicle titles and required documentation, including trips to the DMV, Tax Office, and other agencies as needed.

Quarterly

• Visit remote yards to ensure overall productivity and efficiency of operations at each yard.

Annually

• Maintain required CDL, Medical, and Hazmat to stay in compliance.
• Maintain reasonable suspicion training certification.
• Assist in fleet procurement process alongside company Controller and GM.
