Job summary

Werner Enterprises is seeking a Transportation/Logistics professional to build and maintain driver relationships while aligning with customer expectations and internal teams. The role focuses on optimizing driver loads, coordinating with logistics managers, and ensuring timely execution of operations.

The position emphasizes strong organizational skills, supervisory experience, and proficiency with computer terminals and satellite communications, in a fast-paced truckload environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Admin, Marketing, or Transportation/Logistics preferred.
• 2–3 years fleet management/transportation experience preferred.
• 6–12 months supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong organizational and management abilities; proficient with computer terminals.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain driver relationships to meet needs (home time, payroll, etc.).
• Partner with Dedicated/Associate Logistics Managers to optimize driver loads by origin, destination, freight type, miles, stops.
• Understand customer dynamics and improve value for Werner.
• Interface with billing, van, customer service, risk, safety, payroll, fuel, maintenance, and external vendors.
• Work with managers to fill and maintain a full board of drivers.
• Timely and regular attendance according to shift.
