Vaco is seeking a Driver Recruitment Specialist for an on-site role in Indianapolis, IN. You will drive full-cycle recruiting for drivers, build strong pipelines, and engage candidates by phone to move quickly into orientation.

You will partner with operations to facilitate interviews, onboard new drivers, and focus on retention and performance metrics in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of recruiting, staffing, talent acquisition, sales, business development, or customer-facing experience.
• Strong phone presence and ability to build rapport quickly.
• Comfortable making outbound calls and working in a high-volume environment.
• Ability to manage multiple candidates and priorities simultaneously.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Proficiency with ATS platforms, CRM systems, and Microsoft Office tools.

Responsabilités

• Review incoming applications and quickly engage qualified candidates.
• Conduct phone screens to assess qualifications, availability, and overall fit.
• Maintain an active recruiting pipeline and prioritize speed to contact.
• Educate candidates on available opportunities and career paths.
• Partner with operations leadership to facilitate interviews and candidate introductions.
• Track recruiting activity and candidate progress within the applicant tracking system.
• Build relationships with newly contracted drivers.
• Conduct follow-up outreach and retention check-ins.
• Partner with operations teams to address concerns and improve driver experience.
• Support initiatives that increase retention and long-term success.
• Serve as an advocate and point of contact throughout the recruiting process.
• Work closely with operations, fleet, and compliance teams to ensure a smooth transition from recruitment to onboarding.
• Participate in regular meetings regarding workforce needs and recruiting priorities.
• Help identify opportunities to improve recruiting effectiveness and candidate experience.
• This is a highly metrics-driven role with focus on speed, pipelines, and successful placements.

What You'll Do

Recruiting & Pipeline Management

Compensation & Benefits

• Base salary of $70,000-$80,000 based on experience and fit for job
• Performance-based bonus program tied to recruiting and retention success

Work Environment

• Full-time, on-site position in Indianapolis, IN. Office is located on the near northeast side
• Collaborative office environment with direct interaction with operations teams and drivers
