Vaco is hiring a Dispatcher

Location Walbridge, OH

Compensation: $24-$26/hour

We are seeking a highly organized and customer-focused Service Dispatcher to coordinate service requests between customers, service technicians, and internal teams. This role is responsible for ensuring service needs are addressed promptly, technicians are properly scheduled and equipped with the necessary information, and commitments to customers are met.

The ideal candidate is a strong communicator who can manage multiple priorities, work effectively with different personalities, and remain calm in a fast-paced service environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate incoming customer service requests with service technicians and other internal personnel to ensure timely response and resolution.
• Schedule and dispatch technicians for service calls, preventative maintenance, service projects, and appointments.
• Provide technicians with accurate and complete information needed to successfully complete assigned service calls.
• Monitor technician availability and forecast future scheduling needs.
• Communicate regularly with internal and external customers to ensure service commitments and expectations are met.
• Utilize service management software to create service calls, schedule technicians, and maintain service updates.
• Review and update open service calls to ensure proper follow-up and completion.
• Assist service technicians and project coordinators with purchase order needs.
• Create field service quotes for technicians and generate service calls once approved.
• Maintain and update data received through service technicians' mobile applications.
• Partner with service accounting personnel to resolve questions related to completed service calls.
• Assist project coordinators with scheduling technicians for service projects.
• Collaborate with other dispatchers to ensure consistent coverage and seamless dispatch operations.
• Provide additional support and complete tasks as directed by the Dispatch Supervisor.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 3+ years of dispatch and/or administrative experience.
• Previous experience in a construction, field service, or other high-performance service environment preferred.
• Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Experience working with service or dispatch software is a plus.
