Job summary

Landstar System, Inc. is seeking a recruiter-focused role to engage potential Owner Operators (BCOs), guiding them through leasing requirements and the application process. You will manage inbound/outbound calls, follow-ups, and documentation while maintaining a professional candidate experience.

The position emphasizes communication, customer service, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Onsite options include Rockford or Jacksonville, with regular scheduling from 8am to 5pm CST

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Six months of call center, customer service, or an equivalent combination.
• Six months transportation and logistics experience.
• Six months of recruiting and/or sales experience.

Responsibilities

• Present the Landstar leasing opportunity clearly to prospective BCOs.
• Make timely follow-up calls to prospective BCOs to encourage applications and address questions.
• Meet or exceed monthly departmental goals related to calls, leads, and completed applications.
• Manage daily inbound calls, outbound follow-up calls, emails, and schedules.
• Build positive relationships with prospective BCOs and provide a helpful experience.
• Coordinate and represent Landstar at transportation industry events, with occasional travel.
• Accurately document recruiting activities and maintain BCO records for reference.
• Collaborate with teammates to improve the recruiting process and candidate experience.
