Job summary

Landstar in Rockford or Jacksonville is seeking a recruiting specialist to engage prospective Owner Operator drivers (BCOs), explain leasing requirements, and guide applicants from interest to submission.

You will handle inbound/outbound calls, build relationships, and help remove barriers to the application process. Travel to industry events may be required.

A background in customer service, recruiting, or sales is welcomed; HS diploma and six months experience required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Six months of call center, customer service, or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Be the first point of contact for prospective BCOs and explain leasing requirements.
• Make timely follow-up calls to encourage application submission.
• Meet monthly department goals for calls, leads, and completed applications.
• Manage inbound/outbound calls, emails, and scheduling.
• Build relationships and ensure a professional candidate experience.
• Coordinate Landstar at industry events and occasional travel.
• Document recruiting activities and maintain BCO records.
• Collaborate to improve the recruiting process.
