Job summary

Dairy-Farmers-of-America, Inc. is seeking a Transportation Supervisor to oversee drivers at the terminal or distribution center, create schedules, and implement solutions to routing and delivery challenges while promoting safety, service, and operational excellence.

You will direct drivers daily, coordinate routes, monitor loads, and prepare KPI reports. Strong leadership, communication, and DOT knowledge are essential in this role.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 2 to 5 years of distribution, logistics, and/or transportation experience, including demonstrated leadership attributes, team lead experience, or supervisory experience.
• Certification and/or License: Class A commercial driver’s license in state of residence as required; tanker endorsement and doubles/triples endorsements as required; milk sampler/hauler license; valid medical card; other required certifications may apply.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily work direction to professional drivers to ensure safe and efficient operations and to meet customer requirements.
• Monitor daily activity and adjust load assignments; communicate with drivers, dispatch, and other locations.
• Maintain up-to-date route knowledge; use routing software to improve efficiency and meet demands.
• Create employee schedules; approve time and resolve timekeeping issues; monitor overtime.
• Ensure daily paperwork for each load is complete (mileage reports, logs, maintenance, billing, tickets).
• Prepare and distribute operational KPI reports.
