Job summary

Dairy Farmers of America is seeking a Transportation Supervisor to oversee drivers at the assigned terminal or distribution center. You will create work schedules, monitor routing and delivery, and drive improvements in safety, customer service, and efficiency across transportation operations.

You will coordinate with drivers, dispatch, and maintenance, ensuring DOT compliance, accurate reporting, and effective problem solving.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent.
2–5 years of distribution, logistics, and/or transportation experience with leadership attributes or supervisory experience.
Must have or obtain relevant licenses/certifications (e.g., Class A CDL, tanker/doubles/triples endorsements, milk sampler/hauler license, medical card).

Responsibilities

Provide daily work direction to drivers to ensure safe and efficient operations and to meet customer requirements.
Monitor daily activity and adjust load assignments or instructions while communicating with internal and external stakeholders.
Maintain up-to-date routes and use routing software to increase efficiency and meet customer demands.
Create and approve employee schedules, manage timekeeping, and monitor overtime to meet goals.
Ensure daily paperwork for each load is completed (mileage reports, driver logs, maintenance activity, billing, delivery tickets).
