Job summary

Temco Logistics in Frederick, MD, seeks a Driver Manager to oversee on-road operations, coach drivers, and ensure safety and service quality in a white-glove final-mile environment for Home Appliance Installation. You will monitor routes, coordinate with the MDO team, train new staff, manage schedules, payroll checks, and DOT compliance, while upholding Temco’s brand standards.

Qualifications

Home appliance installation or mechanical aptitude to learn installation process.
Routing, scheduling, DOT & Safety compliance knowledge.
Hands-on leadership able to cover for others during peak times.

Responsibilities

Monitor on-road operations and support drivers with calls, exceptions, and issue resolution.
Prepare manifests, review routing for optimization and DOT compliance, and coordinate changes with the MDO team.
Train and onboard new customer service staff.
Build driver schedules and ensure hours adherence.
Review payroll accuracy with Driver Managers on route adjustments.
Oversee DOT compliance and safety standards for drivers and equipment.
Lead and coach drivers daily for readiness and success.
Conduct on-road observations and Safe Work Habits Assessments.
Coordinate inbound/outbound processes in 3PL locations.
Investigate freight and claims.
