Job summary

Venture Logistics is seeking a Driver Manager to serve as the primary liaison between the company and its professional drivers. You will oversee a fleet, manage performance, safety, and productivity to meet enterprise goals.

You will build trust-based relationships, monitor metrics, coach drivers, and collaborate with planners. Must understand DOT regulations, document interactions, and support onboarding while maintaining a positive work environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1+ year in transportation or logistics.
• Associates or bachelor’s in logistics or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Build strong relationships with drivers to understand needs and goals.
• Monitor driver performance metrics (revenue, miles, MPG, on-time delivery, safety).
• Provide coaching and feedback; initiate disciplinary actions when needed.
• Ensure clear weekly plans and load assignments to maximize productivity.
• Maintain documentation and liaise with planners and CSRs for route optimization.
