Job summary

Mead Lumber is seeking a delivery driver based in Yankton to transport and unload merchandise at customer sites, while keeping safety and accuracy as priorities.

You will load according to the sales invoice, inspect vehicles, and maintain records for returns; strong customer service mindset helps ensure customer satisfaction on every delivery.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license with a good driving record; CDL is a plus.
• Ability to operate a forklift.
• Ability to drive a manual transmission.
• Desire to learn and grow professionally.

• Physical strength to lift and carry 75 pounds consistently.

Responsibilities

• Learn company products, procedures, culture, and customer service philosophy.
• Load trucks according to the list of materials on the sales invoice.
• Deliver and unload materials to customer’s satisfaction and on a timely basis.
• Maintain inspection of each vehicle you drive for safe driving.
• Accurately record all merchandise returns on a credit memo.
• Listen and work with customers to solve customer needs.

Job Summary

Primary responsibility is to drive company vehicles to deliver merchandise to customer jobsites and physically unload the materials to the customer's satisfaction. Help load and unload trucks, put merchandise away, clean up yard.
