Job summary

Mead Lumber in Ada, OK is seeking a delivery driver to transport merchandise to customer jobsites and unload materials to the customer's satisfaction. You will load trucks, maintain vehicle safety, and ensure accurate merchandise returns and clean work areas.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license with clean driving record.
• CDL is a plus and helpful for material handling.
• Forklift operation ability required or trainable.
• Ability to drive a manual transmission.

Responsibilities

• Learn products, procedures, and customer service philosophy.
• Load trucks according to sales invoices.
• Deliver and unload materials at customer sites.
• Inspect each vehicle for safe operation.
• Record returns on a credit memo accurately.
• Listen to and solve customer needs.
• Maintain a clean, safe working environment.
• Perform duties in all weather conditions.
• Other tasks as assigned.

Job Summary:

Primary responsibility is to drive company vehicles to deliver merchandise to customer jobsites and physically unload the materials to the customer's satisfaction. Help load and unload trucks, put merchandise away, clean up yard.

Key Responsibilities

• Learn company products, procedures, culture, and customer service philosophy.
• Load trucks according to the list of materials on the sales invoice.
• Delivers and unloads materials to customer’s satisfaction and on a timely basis.
• Maintain inspection of each vehicle you drive for safe driving.
• Accurately record all merchandise returns on a credit memo.
• Listen and work with customers to solve customer needs.
• Maintain a clean working environment.
• Perform duties in ALL types of weather conditions.
• Other tasks as assigned.

Desired Skills, Knowledge, And Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license and a good driving record. CDL is a plus!
• Must be able to operate a forklift.
• Ability to drive a manual transmission.
• Desire to learn and grow professionally.
• Be self-motivated and productive.
• Physical strength to lift and carry up to 75 pounds consistently.
• Ability to carry and deliver drywall and other heavy building materials, including large windows and doors, into customer jobsites.
