Job summary

Mead Lumber Company in Nebraska is seeking a dedicated Class A Driver to join our team. You will deliver materials to customer job sites, unload responsibly, and uphold professionalism and accuracy.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid Class A drivers license with clean driving record.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 100 pounds regularly.

Responsibilities

• Learn and understand Mead Lumber products, procedures, culture, and customer service philosophy.
• Provide excellent customer service to all clients.
• Load trucks according to the sales invoice and list of materials.
• Organize and secure loads to ensure safe and efficient transport.
• Verify accuracy of loads with the yard manager before departure.
• Deliver and unload materials at customer job sites, ensuring satisfaction.
• Follow delivery instructions and ensure timely deliveries.
• Perform vehicle inspections to ensure safe operation.
• Record delivery information on the sales invoice and communicate customer messages from the job site.
• Obey all traffic laws and safety regulations while operating company trucks and forklifts, including wearing seat belts at all times.
• Adhere to yard loading and security procedures.
• Accurately process merchandise returns with a credit memo.
• Address and resolve customer complaints professionally and promptly.
• Maintain cleanliness and order in assigned yard and areas.
• Assist with loading customer merchandise as needed.
• Must be able to work in ALL weather conditions.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

• Ability to stoop, kneel, and crouch as needed.
