Job summary

Nebraska DMV in Lincoln, NE is seeking a Driver Licensing Recall Technician to provide administrative and technical support for Driver Licensing Services and serve as a contact for staff and the public. Tasks include processing licensing transactions, re-examinations, and compliance reviews.

The role involves policy updates, testing materials, audits, scheduling, and coordinating with management. Regular attendance and adapting to rotating shifts are required.

Qualifications

• Experience or coursework related to research, presentation, or publication in programs or functions of the employing agency.
• Experience in driver licensing, government administration, or related regulatory environment is preferred.
• Experience interpreting laws, regulations, policies, and procedures.
• Experience reviewing records for compliance and resolving issues.
• Experience with audits, inventory, or purchasing is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Process driver licensing transactions and re-examinations, and handle related certifications.
• Assist the public by phone, email, website, and in person; respond to inquiries and schedule appointments.
• Coordinate updates to Driver Licensing policies, procedures, and manuals; review legislative changes.
• Maintain equipment and supply inventories; coordinate with vendors and the State Print Shop.
• Provide backup support for CDL and Federal Medical Certification programs and other management requests.
