U.S. Xpress, Inc. is seeking a Driver Leader to oversee driver performance, support on-time service, and ensure safety. The role focuses on driver satisfaction, cross-functional collaboration, and adherence to policies while driving operational excellence.

The Driver Leader will supervise multiple drivers, resolve issues promptly, and partner with Customer Service to deliver reliable transportation solutions while maintaining a high standard of professionalism and accountability.

Qualifications

• Requires HS diploma or GED; 1 year per year of college for equivalent experience
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred
• Proficient with MS Office and data handling tools

Responsibilities

• Supervise 30–50 drivers per shift in line with company policies and DOT rules
• Address driver disputes and performance issues; document and coach as needed
• Ensure on-time service by coordinating with drivers and Customer Service
• Promote safe operations and maintain accurate driver schedules
• Monitor KPI areas including P&L, safety, and fuel management
• Communicate service deviations promptly to stakeholders and adapt as needed
