Job summary

VRC — Vital Records Control Companies — seeks a Driver II (DOT) to operate company CMVs on service routes, handling pickups and deliveries while maintaining chain-of-custody and confidentiality.

The role requires adherence to FMCSR/state regulations, DOT qualifications, and safe driving practices, with responsibilities including inspections, equipment certification upkeep, and customer-focused service.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous route driving, delivery, or transportation experience preferred.
• Experience working in warehouse, logistics, or records management environments preferred.
• Experience operating commercial vehicles preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate company vehicles, including DOT-regulated CMVs, to support assigned service routes.
• Operate Powered Industrial Trucks (forklifts, order pickers, electric pallet jacks).
• Drive vans or box trucks to customer locations for pickups and deliveries; work with customers to fulfill service requests.
• Conduct and document pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
• Maintain a valid DOT Medical Examiner’s Certificate.
• Comply with Hours-of-Service requirements when operating regulated vehicles.
• Report accidents, citations, inspections, or license status changes.
• Utilize handheld scanners and inventory management systems.
• Meet productivity, timeliness, and accuracy standards.
• Maintain confidentiality and chain-of-custody procedures.
• Assist with loading, unloading, and staging materials.
• Follow all operational protocols and safety procedures.
