Job summary

Hub Group is seeking a Driver Manager to lead a fleet of 30–35 company drivers, overseeing day-to-day operations, safety, utilization and retention while building positive employee relations. You will conduct regular performance reviews, implement corrective actions when needed, and mentor drivers in tools such as Omnitracs and payroll processes.

The role also partners with load planning to improve productivity and service.

Qualifications

• Strong leadership skills.
• Strong organizational, analytical and problem solving skills and change management.
• Must be a self-starter and highly motivated individual.

Responsibilities

• Manage driver performance and conduct regular reviews with corrective actions up to termination when needed.
• Ensure safety and regulatory performance of drivers and implement corrective actions plans for all drivers below goal.
• Resolve driver payroll discrepancies and authorize additional pay when appropriate.
• Mentor drivers to ensure success with tools and payroll processes.
• Plan and optimize driver utilization with load planners to improve productivity.
• Support load planning and recovery of loads.
• Monitor deliveries and pickups for service failures and alert loads planning of failures.
