Job summary

Sysco Long Island, LLC is hiring for a Finance position that checks in drivers after routes, counts returned items, and maintains records of quantities, types, and values. The role also inspects product returns and documents necessary information to streamline processing and inventory management.

The successful candidate will verify returns, log delivery exceptions, and coordinate with Credit Services as needed while maintaining accuracy in paperwork and adherence to safety standards.

Qualifications

• High school degree or equivalent.
• 1 year of pallet jack and/or forklift experience.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Speak effectively before groups of customers or associates of an organization.
• Must have exemplary listening skills to facilitate effective two-way communication.
• Can add, subtract, multiply, and divide into all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

Responsibilities

• Check-in drivers after routes by verifying returned products, signed invoices, and confirm pallet, totes, and other company property returned.
• Identify missed collections and notify Credit Services.
• Ensure food safety protocols were followed and coordinate with Food Safety personnel for issues.
• Note all delivery exceptions on invoices and/or delivery exception reports.
• Inspect returned products to determine restocking or whether customer warrants credit and adjust as needed with appropriate codes.
• Separate and stage all products for return processing, counting items to match return sheets and invoices.
• List any overages on the return sheet and re-enter the product into the inventory system as soon as possible.
