Job summary

Sysco Metro New York, LLC is seeking a detail-oriented finance-position professional to check in drivers after routes, count products, and maintain return records. This role ensures accurate restocking decisions, inventory control, and proper documentation for efficient processing of returned items.

You will verify invoices, manage pallets and property, and collaborate with Credit Services and Food Safety teams to resolve issues while maintaining shipping and receiving accuracy.

Qualifications

• Education: High school degree or equivalent.
• Experience: 1 year of pallet jack and/or forklift experience.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Speak effectively before groups of customers or associates.
• Exemplary listening skills for two-way communication.
• Can perform basic arithmetic with various units of measure.
• Solid problem-solving skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Must read, write and speak English.

Responsibilities

• Check-in drivers who have completed routes by verifying returned products and signed invoices.
• Account for pallets, totes, and other company property.
• Identify missed collections and notify Credit Services.
• Ensure food safety protocols were followed on the return.
• Note delivery exceptions on invoices or exception reports.
• Inspect returned products to determine restocking or credit needs.
• Code damaged items with appropriate codes on the return/documentation.
• Stage returns and count items to match return sheets and invoices.
• List overages on the return sheet to re-enter stock into inventory.
