Job summary

MTM Transit, in partnership with CapMetro, is hiring full-time drivers in Austin, TX. Start your new career quickly with our training classes that begin every other week and a path to growth within the organization.

As a driver you’ll provide safe transportation, assist with passenger loading and unloading, and deliver excellent customer service to riders and internal stakeholders. Our benefits package includes medical, dental and vision coverage, paid training, overtime, holidays, PTO, a 401(k)

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Must possess a continuously valid US driver’s license for 3 years.
• Must possess a valid Texas driver’s license or ability to obtain within 3 months of hire.
• No DUI or DWI convictions in the past 10 years.
• No more than 1 suspension, moving violation, or citation within the last 3 years – no more than 2 within past 5 years.
• Must be able to pass DOT physical and pre-employment drug/alcohol screening.
• Must pass criminal background check investigation including a TX DPS MVR.
• Valid authorization to work in the United States.
• Must provide a resume with a minimum of 10 years work history.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe and reliable transportation.
• Demonstrate excellent defensive driving skills.
• Provide excellent customer service to both internal and external stakeholders.
• Must assist with passenger loading and unloading from vehicle.
• Must assist with any mobility device and securement as required for safety protocols.
• Ensure the on-time pick-up and drop off of the customer.
• Demonstrates understanding and sensitivity to the needs of older adults and individuals with disabilities.
• Complete thorough vehicle pre-trip, post-trip, and DVI inspections as required.
• Complete paperwork as required.
• Utilize tablets or electronic devices as required.

What you’ll need:

_ Experience, Education & Certifications: _

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
• Must be 21 years of age or older
