Job summary

MTM Transit in Tucson, AZ is hiring for Full-Time Drivers (CDL and Non-CDL). We are hosting training classes weekly, with shifts from 4:30am to 8:30pm and 35-40+ hours per week. The position offers hourly pay and benefits.

Hourly Rate: $19.00-20.00, with affordable Medical, Dental and Vision benefits, paid training and overtime, paid holidays and PTO, a 401(k) with company match, and opportunities for internal career growth.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Must be 21 years or older.
• Valid Arizona Driver’s license, CDL with passenger endorsement for some positions.
• No reckless driving offenses within past 5 years; no DUI/DWI.
• Authorized to work in the United States; pass DOT physical, drug screening, background and MVR checks.
• Schedule flexibility: 7 days a week, 4:30am–8:30pm, 35–40+ hours per week.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe and reliable transportation.
• Demonstrate defensive driving and ensure on-time pickup/drop-off.
• Deliver excellent customer service to internal and external stakeholders.
• Assist with passenger loading/unloading and mobility device securement as required.
• Complete vehicle inspections and required paperwork; use tablets/electronic devices.

What will your job look like?

MTM Transit in partnership with Sun Shuttle Dial A Ride is looking for Full-Time Drivers. We are hiring for both CDL and Non-CDL Drivers. to join our team in Tucson, AZ. We currently have training classes that start every week.

What You’ll Need:

Experience, Education & Certifications:

• High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
• Must be 21 years of age or older
• Must have and maintain a valid Arizona Driver’s license - some positions may require a CDL with passenger endorsement
• No reckless driving offenses within the past 5 years
• No DUI or DWI convictions
• No convictions involving moral turpitude within the past 5 years
• Possess valid authorization to work in the United States
• Must be able to pass a DOT Physical and pre-employment drug screening
• Must pass criminal background check and investigation & Motor Vehicle Record check
• Schedule flexibility: Looking for individuals who are available 7 days a week between the hours of 4:30am – 8:30pm (35-40+ hours per week). Shifts will be assigned after training is completed

Skills:

• Ability to use a tablet, GPS, two-way radio, or other electronicdevice
• Ability to maintain high level ofconfidentiality
• Ability to communicate with others and comprehendinstructions
• Ability to understand highway traffic signs, signals, maps, andschedules
• Ability to obtain knowledge of FTA, ADA, and DOTregulations
• Familiarity with the main roadways and major highways in the servicearea

What You’ll Do:

• Provide safe and reliable transportation
• Demonstrate excellent defensive driving skills
• Provide excellent customer service to both internal and external stakeholders
• Must assist with passenger loading and unloading from vehicle
• Must assist with any mobility device and securement as required for safety protocols
• Ensure the on-time pick-up and drop off of the customer
• Demonstrates understanding and sensitivity to the needs of older adults and individuals with disabilities
• Complete thorough vehicle pre-trip, post-trip, and DVI inspections as required
• Complete paperwork as required
• Utilize tablets or electronic devices as required
