Job summary

MTM Transit in Austin, TX is hiring full-time drivers to provide safe, reliable transportation for our community. Training classes start every other week, and you will be part of a team dedicated to accessibility and excellent service.

You will operate buses or shuttles, assist passengers, ensure on-time pickups, complete pre-trip/post-trip inspections, and use tablets or GPS as needed. A high school diploma, 21+ years old, valid Texas license and DOT screening are required.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or GED and 21+ years old.
• Must possess a valid Texas driver’s license or be able to obtain within 3 months of hire.
• Must pass DOT physical and pre-employment drug/alcohol screening; background check.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe and reliable transportation to passengers.
• Demonstrate defensive driving and customer service excellence.
• Assist with passenger loading/unloading and mobility devices as required.
• Ensure on-time pick-up and drop-off of customers; maintain schedules.
• Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections and required paperwork.
• Operate tablets or GPS devices as part of daily operations.
