The position requires a high school diploma, 2 years of customer service experience, and a valid chauffeur license with MI endorsement. BLS certification within 90 days is also required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• 2 years of relevant experience in customer service or related field is required.
• Must be at least 20 years of age.
• CRT-BLS (AHA) certification within 90 days is required OR CRT-BLS (ARC) within 90 days.
• LIC-Chauffeur License - STATE_MI State of Michigan within 30 days.

Responsibilities

• Provides transportation for employees, guests and community groups to/from various locations.
• Performs limited maintenance and care of department vehicles and equipment and notifies supervisor of repairs.
• Uses radio to communicate with dispatch and other shuttle drivers while en route.
• Monitors parking areas and grounds for suspicious activity or hazards and reports them.
• Ensures documentation is completed accurately and timely per regulations and department policy.

Job Summary

The Driver position is a safety-sensitive position that requires a high degree of responsibility transporting staff, patients, and visitors in a safe, timely and professional manner. The driver must be able to operate vehicle in all weather and driving conditions with multiple distractions. Drivers are required to perform vehicle inspections, minor repairs, and cleaning duties. They are also responsible for monitoring parking areas and grounds for potential security issues.

Essential Functions

• Provides transportation for employees, guests and community groups to and from various locations
• Performs limited maintenance and care of department vehicles and equipment. Notifies supervisor of anticipated repair needs as appropriate
• Uses the radio to appropriately communicate with dispatch and other shuttle drivers while in route.
• Monitors parking area and grounds for suspicious activity or hazards and reports them to the appropriate department
• Ensures appropriate documentation is completed in an accurate and timely manner in accordance with regulations and department policy

Qualifications

Required

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 2 years of relevant experience customer service or related field
• Must be at least 20 years of age
• CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA American Heart Association 90 Days required Or
• CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - ARC American Red Cross 90 Days
• LIC-Chauffeur License - STATE_MI State of Michigan 30 Days
