Job summary

Corewell Health in Grand Rapids is seeking a part-time Driver responsible for transporting staff, patients, and visitors safely and professionally. The role requires vehicle inspections, minor maintenance, and monitoring security around parking areas.

You must be at least 20, have a clean driving record, and hold a valid MI Driver's License with Endorsement P and a Chauffeur license. BLS certification may be required; shift is 10 a.m. to 8:30 p.m., 20 hours weekly.

• Chauffeur License – MI required upon hire.
• BLS certification required per policy.

Job Summary

The Driver position is a safety-sensitive position that requires a high degree of responsibility transporting staff, patients, and visitors in a safe, timely and professional manner. The driver must be able to operate vehicle in all weather and driving conditions with multiple distractions. Drivers are required to perform vehicle inspections, minor repairs, and cleaning duties. They are also responsible for monitoring parking areas and grounds for potential security issues.

Essential Functions

• Provides transportation for employees, guests and community groups to and from various locations
• Performs limited maintenance and care of department vehicles and equipment. Notifies supervisor of anticipated repair needs as appropriate
• Uses the radio to appropriately communicate with dispatch and other shuttle drivers while in route.
• Monitors parking area and grounds for suspicious activity or hazards and reports them to the appropriate department
• Ensures appropriate documentation is completed in an accurate and timely manner in accordance with regulations and department policy
